The Sacred Transitions Traditional Midwifery Program is a comprehensive, self-paced online training for aspiring midwives, rooted in ancestral wisdom and evidence-based practice. Whether you are just beginning your path or deepening your calling, this program provides the skills, knowledge, and confidence to serve birthing families with safety, compassion, and cultural respect. For those who desire to obtain their CPM by sitting for the NARM, this course supports you through the PEP process. 


Program Structure:

  • 3 Phases with 3-5 modules each 

  • Readings, videos, assignments, and resources

  • Self-paced learning with mentorship opportunities

  • Designed to prepare you for apprenticeship and community-based midwifery

Phase 1 – Foundations of Midwifery

  • Anatomy & Physiology

  • Well Woman & Sexuality

  • Fetal Development

  • Midwifery Politics & History

Goal: Ground students in the body, reproduction, history, and ethics of midwifery.

Phase 2 – The Childbearing Year

  • Normal Pregnancy

  • Abnormal Pregnancy

  • First Stage

  • Second Stage

  • Third Stage

Goal: Equip students with skills and knowledge for the prenatal period through birth.

Phase 3 – Postpartum & Holistic Care

  • Breastfeeding and the Newborn

  • Postpartum Care

  • Supporting Therapies

Goal: Support the mother-baby dyad, recovery, and integration, including herbal and complementary care.

Investment & Scholarships:

We believe financial limitations should not block the calling to midwifery. We offer a limited number of scholarships each year for dedicated students who demonstrate need and commitment to birth work.
